Green Toys: some toys made in the USA, some abroad
Green Toys says it began by manufacturing only in the USA and now produces its toys in facilities both in the US and abroad. Its product pages differ: the Tugboat page says “Made in the USA”, while our automated text check of the Fire Truck page found none of the origin phrases it searches for.[1][3]

What's unresolved or limited
- Our automated text check found none of the four origin phrases it searches for (“made in”, “manufactured in”, “imported”, “country of origin”) on the Fire Truck page. That check doesn't establish the Fire Truck's origin, and we didn't examine product images. Check the product or packaging information, or ask the maker.[7]
- There's no list of which toys are made in the US. An earlier version of our card said “molded in California”; the maker no longer says that on the pages we read, so we removed it.
What this means when you buy
This is the case the FTC's product-line guidance is about: a brand known for US-made toys that now makes some abroad. Don't rely on the brand; look for an origin line on the specific toy's page or box.
Where a product page gives you no origin statement you can find, treat origin as unknown until you see the box or ask the maker, rather than assuming either way.
