Springbok Puzzles: all US-made, except one brand
Springbok says all of its puzzles are manufactured in America with one stated exception: its Larsen-branded children's puzzles, which an overseas partner makes. The same page also calls Springbok one of the few puzzle makers that produce exclusively in the U.S.[2][3][4]
Facts on this page come from the maker's own site or the FTC, each with a numbered source; sections marked “Our reading” are our interpretation. We haven't audited the maker or seen its supplier records, and nothing here is a finding that any product meets the FTC's standard. See what “Made in USA” means.
What the maker says is made in the USA
What it says is made elsewhere
- Larsen-branded children's puzzles are made by an overseas partner.[3]
Where: places the maker names
| Place | What it is, in the maker's words |
|---|---|
| Not named | The About page names no plant or town[1] |
What's unresolved or limited
- The same page says Springbok produces “exclusively in the U.S.” and that Larsen puzzles are made overseas. We read the specific exception as the operative statement.[4][3]
- An earlier version of our card said Kansas City, Missouri. The About page doesn't name a town, so we removed it.[1]
- The maker's history says Hallmark acquired Springbok in 1967, Allied Products took over production in 2002, and Allied Products became part of Allied Brands in March 2025.[5][6][7]
What this means when you buy
For a child's puzzle, check the brand on the box: by the maker's own account, a Larsen-branded children's puzzle is made overseas. Springbok's other puzzles are US-made by the same account.
